HISTORY
Our club was founded by Kendol Decker in 2019 to provide high quality and structured youth soccer development and educational program to students in the East Montgomery County and surrounding communities after realizing the need for such program. Aspen Hill Soccer Club was formed out of Champions United Soccer Academy; a program Coach Kendol founded in 2014. During the summer of 2012, Coach Kendol held his first tryouts at Wood local Park (located in Aspen Hill) to start his first team as a head coach in the MSI Classic League. Due to the fact that majority of players from MSI Classic pool are based in South Rockville/Potomac/Bethesda area, Coach Kendol held most if his practices in Potomac. He added four teams within two years and founded Champions United Soccer Academy in order to start a travel program. Under Champions United Soccer Academy, Coach Kendol and his coaching team developed some of best players and teams in the county with several teams competing and winning major travel tournaments and leagues. Dozens of players that started their soccer experience with Champions United had transitioned to professional academies and top national and international soccer programs.

Values
- Fun First - Having fun and working hard can play on the same field! Aspen Hill creates an instructional environment that is engaging and enjoyable so our players hone their soccer skills while making friendships and memories that last for years.
- Play the Beautiful Game - Soccer is a game of skill and finesse, and we love teaching a possession-based, technically-sound approach. We prepare our players to master the techniques involved and build the fitness to be successful at soccer and life.
- Stronger in Community - We work together on the pitch, support each other, and succeed as a team. We give back to the community through regular service and patronage of local businesses, and we strive to make soccer accessible to all by meeting families where they’re at with financial assistance.
- Act with Integrity - Our players, coaches, and parents show proper respect for teammates, opponents, coaches, officials, spectators, and the game. We train and compete with integrity, and display grace - win or lose.
- Win Within - Our professional and experienced coaches prepare their teams to achieve high levels of success on and off the field, which includes winning matches, as well as developing skills and overcoming adversity. We view making consistent progress towards goals as the real win, and that isn’t always reflected on the scoreboard.
